Unconfirmed reports indicate that iTeso South Member of Parliament has been arrested in Uganda for allegedly recruiting Uganda Nationals to register as voters in Kenya.
Mary Emasse was arrested alongside her bodyguard who was disarmed and later locked up in Uganda police cells.
This comes a few days after CORD leader Raila Odinga accused the National Intelligence Service (NIS) for planning to rig the elections by interfering in the voter registration exercise. IEBC has not responded to the allegations.
