FIFA said it had acted after its investigation into various matches from the Kenyan Premier League in 2019.
World football governing body, FIFA, on Tuesday announced a ban on three Kenyan players and a Ugandan who it claims were involved in match fixing.
In its announcement, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee said it had found the players guilty of having been involved in match manipulation in violation of art. 69 par. 1 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (2017 ed.) (unlawfully influencing match results).
The ban affects Moses Chikati (Kenya), Festus Okiring (Kenya), Festo Omukoto (Kenya) and George Mandela (Uganda).
“The formal disciplinary proceedings against the aforementioned individuals stemmed from an investigation into various matches from the Kenyan Premier League in 2019. This investigation was conducted by FIFA through its Integrity Department with the consent of and in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders and authorities,” read the statement from the football body.
Mandela was handed a life ban from all football-related activities, while the Kenyans were slapped with four-year bans from football-related activities.

“This investigation was conducted by FIFA through its Integrity Department with the consent of and in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders and authorities,” the statement added.
The bans took effect immediately.
