Harambee Stars Captain Victor Mugubi Wanyama has hinted that he anticipates entering into a partnership with Busia Sugar Industry to see how best the quality of life of the Busia people can be improved.
Wanyama who also plays in Canada for Montreal Impact as a midfielder said,” I am going to consult with my staff to see how we can partner with this great sugar Company for the sake of our people”.
He also said he was considering to engage in sugarcane development since that was the only direct way Busia Sugar and himself can be of mutual benefit to each other adding that there was absolute need to join other farmers in ensuring that the factory gets adequate raw material.
The international midfielders reiterated that his Wanyama Foundation is ready to support young talent especially by use of his sports academy in Ekisumo area in Nambale Sub County of Busia County whose construction is expected to complete by end of July this year.
On his part, the BSI Administration Manager Mohammed Ali thanked Wanyama for his gesture towards sports development in the County saying it is an idea that should be embraced and supported by all. “We hope that Wanyama will consider our CSR projects that we presented to him to see how best we can partner”, said Mohammed.
