A court in Milimani has issued orders stopping Amani National Leader Musalia Mudavadi from issuing the party nomination certificate to Ben Shilibwa.
This orders comes barely two hours after Mudavadi gave fresh orders that Shilibwa who came a distant third with 3800 votes in the disputed Dagorreti North party primaries which were held recently be given the certificate even before the tribunal gives its verdict.
Now questions are being asked why Mudavadi who is also the NASA Co-Principal is adamantly ordering that Shilibwa be given the certificate baring in mind that Babandege who came second by garnering 7900 has so far conceded and vowed to support Gumo.
Sources within ANC had earlier indicated that a section of the party’s top officials had warned Mudavadi not to give Shilibwa the certificate saying that by doing so the party which had started gaining ground in Busia would end up being seen as a maragoli affair.
The sources further wondered why the party leader was forcefully imposing Shilibwa onto the people when Gumo had won the primaries fair and square.
All eyes are now directed to Mudavadi to see whether he will obey or disobey the court order something he has always preached to Kenyans to respect.
