71 dead six survive on a flight carrying Brazillian football team

A chattered plane carrying 81 passengers on board including a top side Brazilian soccer team Chapecoense has crashed in Colombia killing 75 leaving only six survivors among them two players however one survivor succumbed while being rushed to hospital.

The club said in a brief statement on its Facebook page that “may God accompany our athletes, officials, journalists and other guests travelling with our delegation”

The aircraft, which had departed from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, was transporting the team from southern Brazil for the first leg of a two-game Copa Sudamericana final against Atletico Nacional of Medellin, which was due to be played on Wednesday.
